Thanks for posting this. The song is such a natural for pedal steel that I'm surprised no country artist has covered it (that I know of.) You have inspired me.

Cool Mickey! I remember thinking that this sounded like a natural for the steel way back in the 70's when I first heard it!

Very cool, nice moves for that tune on E9!

The Sky Kings did a nice version a few years back: tight shuffle with fiddle, killer vocals by John Cowan and Rusty Young adds some cool 6th-ish lap steel.

Very cool, nice moves for that tune on E9!

The Sky Kings did a nice version a few years back: tight shuffle with fiddle, killer vocals by John Cowan and Rusty Young adds some cool 6th-ish lap steel.

Glad you guys liked this...I did this in such a hurry off the cuff, for my friend Patrick in Destin. I have since spent about an hour working out some great new moves, and tackling the solo an octave high on my 10 string in D, and in the key of F like the record on my 12....l'll post a part "a" for this when I get home form Santa Monica Sunday...!!>.Thanks for the comments guys!!>..
