This was custom built for Tom Pittman, of the Austin Lounge Lizards. They have retired and he is moving on.
This is the E tuning 3X4. The body is covered in faux
lizard skin. Some scales are worn of, otherwise a great guitar. Asking $995.00 plus shipping.

Jim, my guess is that this guitar has absolutely "Zero" cabinet drop. Am I correct?
Neat handy looking guitar.

Hey Jerry, for all practical purposes, it has no drop.
I use a Peterson strobo flip and while there is some movement when the pedals are pressed I would define it
as a reflex to the tone change.
Hope you are doing good.

Doing fine Jim, I think you have a very interesting guitar there. It sure would be great for a predominately 6 string (standard) player to double on when the music really needed the sound of a pedal steel and the band didn't have a steel. On the other hand, I would enjoy playing a whole show with it. Very neat!! Merry Christmas Jim.

Jim - I see on your website that the new 6lites have vertical tuning keys - was there a reason that the lizard skin one is a horizontal (other than customer preference?) Also, I downloaded the copendent list from you website - is the "lizard" one set up that way?
I sent you an email to your email listed on your website last week - I hope you got it - my email service is a little weak here in west Texas.
I am interested in the 6-lite - is it still for sale? I am thinking of driving down to your store to see it and hear it, but I wanted to make sure it was still available. I would also like to look at one of your other 6-lites if you have any in stock.
This is my first post on the forum and I am a neewbie to pedal steels. I currently play guitar, dobro and lap steel. My older brother played pedal steel for a number of years - so I just gotta play one too!
Thanks for your time
Richard |
