Don't recognize him. Interesting story and right hand technique though. |

Since buying steelseats I have found that there are lots of these guys all over the world - and I mean world - I sold a seat to a guy in Norway that was similar to this guy.
A lot of people inside the steel guitar family and out side thing not too many people play steel guitars. I am finding every day there are a lot more than you would think.
Some are saying it is dying and not too many young guys playing the steel and I have found a lot more young guys are playing than most think. Many are working in bands rather than going to the steel shows were they are attending.
It is the ole glass half full or half empty deal I have decided.
Just an obversation but the glass if half full of water and half full of air -

I've never considered the steel a "warbling one-of-a-kind instrument," but I guess in the right hands it could be …. |

I explain it as a machine that "SOME PEOPLE" can get music out of - one guy looked around for a place to put a quarter - and we laughed.
It is very unique and the heavyest portable instrument since they have not put handles on a Baby Grand

I have checked with a couple of my steel buddies from towns very close to Abilene, Tx (I'm just 60 miles away and thought I knew most Abilene steelers) and so far none of us know him. I guess he's been one of the best kept secrets around. |
