I have a JCH on the bench I can't get the B's to travel far enough on the first pedal to reach C#. I have moved the mount in the bell crank and in the changer up and down with no sucess. Any suggestions?
Thanks |

Probably need to back off the screw that adjusts the pedal stop to allow more travel. |

Well, I don't know then. That change is well within the range. If it's not the pedal stop, then something else in the linkage is stopping the travel before it gets to the desired note.
I'm not sure how JCH's pedal stops are arranged, but it should be something like the one in this photo: The screw I refer to is at the front rail in the pedal cross rod ass'y. Upper left of the photo.

Chuck: I believe your problem is without a solution. Now, if you could just send me that JCH and I'll find a spot for it...

Roger you would hear of man killed over pedal steel. My buddy loves this steel and I don't blame him. These guitars are very well built. The problem I was having was from operator error and no fault of the steel. Which is usually the norm for me. |
