Just up and running is a new website covering the past and present of steel guitar in both Australia and New Zealand.
www.steelguitardownunder.com
I know we're right on the other side of the planet but we are the ones that stop it from tipping over !! although if we keep sending food and coal and iron ore to the northern hemisphere we could be in trouble !
The site is in it's infancy and will build as we go along so if you want to see what we are doing and have done have a browse.
We have some great steel/pedal steel players down here.
Feel free to email the webmaster on the site with comments too.

Hi Allen
Hope you're still ringing that Dobro mate in 2013!
Yes we are up and running and the comments are flowing in. You will see some typos in there as I use more fingers to play guitar and steel than I do on a keyboard! Email me any news you have pls. Very Happy
