This is a Gibson Century model lapsteel, one of the most desirable of the Gibson laps but this one is in far from perfect shape and as such I've priced this lower than a clean one would be. When I got it, original tuners were shot and all buttons were gone, as were the tone and volume knobs. I have replacements on it now, and the good news is that the original, working P90 (adjustable poles, so that makes this at least a 1950 model or a year or two newer) and the original laminated jackplate are intact. Also I think the wiring harness and pots are original, but I can't get the backplate off to check and don't want to make a mess. The paint, unfortunately, is flaking off in some places and you can see that along the bottom edge of the body it's completely gone near the jackplate and missing or flaking off elsewhere. It does have the bridge cover (good thing as this is an impossible-to-replace part) and the fingerboard is also intact. I put new strings on it although depending on your preferred tuning you might want to play with the gauges some. I am asking $350 OBO including shipping in the CON US. Email me at jkally3@cox.net if interested. Thanks and Happy New Year!
