I am looking into adding a couple extra pull rods to my pedal steel guitar. I cam across a website (www.psgparts.com) that sells the pull rods, but asks if they are a 'Cut #4-40 Threaded Rod End' or a 'Rolled #5-40 Threaded Rod End'. Does anybody know how I might be able to determine which is used? |

Michael can tell you, but an easy way to identify rolled threads is that the threaded area will be larger in diameter than the unthreaded part. You will be able to see and feel that.
If you can imagine the threads having been raised or pushed on versus formed from cutting with a die on a cut threaded rod. |

Chris,
The pull rods on a Super Pro will have the #5-40 rolled thread. I'll have to check tomorrow to see what I have in stock. _________________ "Don't fergit to kiss yer horse!"

Would they be the Ø.109 w/#5-40 Thread? Do you have any 32" available? I was only able to select 16" on your website. |

Since the guitar has Ø.109 rods, would I be able to use the Ø1/8" rods which are only slightly larger, or would you not recommend it? |

Sorry Chris, Ø.125(1/8") rods won't work. They won't fit in the bell crank holes and may bind in the scissor finger holes. _________________ "Don't fergit to kiss yer horse!"
