Beware--I was cautioned about the possibility by Ricky Davis and he was right--a non-Sho-Bud pickup did not fit in my 12 string 6160. I had to widen the cavity.

A BL 712 is around 1 1/4"---1 5/16" wide.

Ah---good. I've got a 912 in mine and it is good but I am a bit restless--considering a 712 too. I'm also thinking of trying a Tone Aligner from Bob Hoffnar. That is a pickup that has sounded great in anything I've tried or heard it in. FWIW I tried an Alumitone in the Bud and I hated it. Love it in my Fessenden. Go figure.

I have a Bill Lawrence LXR-16 - narrow mount - for 12 string. It measures about 1 3/8 inches by 5 3/16 inches.
