Received my MSA Millennium today. An absolutely STUNNING guitar.
Most important is the tone. It arrived with E-66 & stainless strings and I use a Nashville 1000. The result is power and clarity all over both necks. After fussing a little bit it is clear that
with string choice and amp settings you can get any tone you desire.
Next is the mechanics. All work is thoughtfully designed, executed, and assembled with care. The result is a smoothly operating elegant machine. It gives no hint of frailty anywhere.
Next is the appearance. Mine is the standard clear over the twill. Subtle and gorgeous. All surfaces are a high polish and a perfect fit. It’s so pretty it has to sound good.
Dealing with Mr. Anderson and Mr. Bennet has been a pleasure from start to finish and I have no doubt that they will graciously give any follow up help that I might need. A great group of people.
I have been playing an Excel D-10. To put it simply, there is no comparison. The MSA is vastly superior in all respects. Enough so that the price deference is more than justified.
If you have any questions I will try to answer them.
Note to Mike: Sell your children and by one now.
I cannot say enough about this guitar.

Joey: Will e-mail pix Sat. Don't know how to post them.
An interesting note: I can tune any pedal by its self. I don't have to press both A & B to get everything right. Zero "cabinet drop"
This guitar is magic!
Didn't mean to be so hard on the Excel. It's a good guitar, Just funnin' with Mike.
Happy New Year

Steve, please E-mail the pix to me too, My E-ddress is MPerlowin@aol.com
You know, my dog is so strong he probably really could eat that Excel if he wanted to. He is so powerful that if he were vicious, he be dangerous, but he's not like that. He's really gentle and sweet. 70 pounds of muscle and love.
Pit bulls have a bad reputation, but they are actually very good natured dogs (at least toward people) and if not abused, make great pets. [This message was edited by Mike Perlowin on 28 December 2002 at 11:23 PM.] |

Hey Steve,
By "standard clear over the twill" do you mean not painted? That's what I've got and IMHO, it is the bomb Kind of like 3-D snakeskin. I've had so many compliments on it. I've had some minor problems with mine (to be expected with any new guitar) and they have all been handled to my complete satisfaction by the good folks at MSA. I'm sure you will be treated likewise. Good luck to you and your new guitar.

I have my wife's encouragement and blessing to buy one of the new MSA's but since I am in semi-retirement I find it hard to justify the purchase. What should I do? www.genejones.com |
