I would like to know if anyone could help me with a good quality metranome for practice and building speed in my right hand. I have read alot of reviews on them, and find that most aren't loud enough. Does anyone have any experience with one.
Thanks all and Happy New Year. _________________ GFI Ultra SD10 3x4,

If you have a computer near your guitar there are loads of free options out there that will run on your computer and will be as loud as your computer allows them to be. Same for a smartphone.
About the only time I use a metronome is when I am recording or when I am doing exercises. When recording I turn on the metronome in GarageBand. When I am doing exercises I use a metronome that is built in to an inexpensive tuner that I have lying around. I think it is a Boss TU-80. You can buy those new for less than $20. That isn't especially loud but certainly loud enough for me. I don't need the amp turned up very loud when I am doing exercises.

Thanks Jeff, that's a great idea. I never really considered that. I'm sure that a google search can help and save me some money in the mean time. Thanks again. _________________ GFI Ultra SD10 3x4,

Thanks Jeff. I downloaded the one called Tempo Perfect. That should do the trick for me. Thanks again. _________________ GFI Ultra SD10 3x4,

Most need to be amplified, this cheap tuner has a metronome and a droning note .... any note you want.
Volume knob to adjust between the two sounds.
Very good practice doing slow scales, chords.
And!! it's a tuner.
I plug it into a little amp that I use for my lap top / Band in a box

Just use a free cell phone app and play softer. It's cheap, and will save your hearing.
