Many thanks to you folks for the kind words......
We try to keep the site interesting for both the new visitors as well as you experienced players.
I hope JERRY would appreciate what I'm attempting to do in his memory. He did however tell me I should "take the money" I devote to this project and "spend it on my family." |

Ray, in one of the pictures I see Jerry playing a three-neck Fender Stringmaster at the HSGA.
What was the occasion? His guitar? |

Rick....I can't provide you with any kind of factual information about that Fender but since Jerry, to my knowledge, NEVER owned or played such a g'tar, I'm almost certain it was borrowed from one of the members on that occasion.
Jerry frequently played the instruments offered by folks in the audience. He complained to me that when he did so, he NEVER sounded like JERRY BYRD so he didn't really savor those excursions as much as the person owning the guitar that JERRY BYRD had now played on.
Years ago, Scotty had Jerry play his Panda Bakelite at the Winchester Conv. Scotty had it FOR SALE however after Jerry made sweet music on it, Scotty withdrew his offer to sell.
The JBFC site shows ALL of the instruments on which Jerry recorded and played publicly. |
