I've always been kind of lukewarm about the jazz-flamenco hybrid musics I've heard - from Sketches of Spain through McLaughlin, DeMeola, De Lucia and on and on - but I found this very compelling. The precision and rhythms in the dancing are really impressive.

That was really cool. First of all, I fell in love with Sara--she's amazing.
Really nice line-up: Adam Rogers, Lisa Fischer from the Rolling Stones, and then singing Jumpin' Jack Flash...wow. The music had a Sephardic sound to it for me when the soprano sax and male vocals came in. Michael Lee Allen would know more about that, but it almost sounded like Qawwali for a moment. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |
