I'm looking to change the top string on my C6th neck from a G to a D. It seems too easy to simply adjust the tuning up (or down), so what's involved in this transition? What do I need to do to make this change?

put an .015 string on and tune to D...Buddy Emmons added a D-Eb pull on pedal 8 that I like and 3rd string C-C# pull gets back the next inversion three frets higher!..Js
