This is put out by my friends, Clay Giberson and John Nastos, in Portland, OR. This is an original by Clay Giberson - what beautiful piano and sax....
I notice the "holding on for dear life" style of pick blocking - not efficient, and I am working on other right hand techniques - and, of course, some iffy attempts at playing in tune with piano and sax, but overall I did better than I thought I did.
Thankful for my great stand by Tom Bradshaw!

Christopher......You my friend, are a testatment to what can be achieved when a person has the right mindset, determination, positive attitude, and enthusiasm. That which you have accomplished in such a short time is absolutely incredible. My congratulations to three excellent musicians. |

Reese pointed out to me a possible confusion - the Tom Bradshaw device I was referring to is the brilliant TabRack that attaches to the guitar. It's so much closer than a music stand so I can look at the music and not not lose sight of the bar - genius device! A must-buy for players that read music on a gig! _________________ Christopher Woitach

Good work! I loved the whole presentation (songwriting, instrumentation, tones, performances, multiple camera angles... everything). |

Yes - direct through the Eleven with some delay added afterward. Must figure out how to duplicate the effect - I like it! _________________ Christopher Woitach

Yes, Bb6 uni, very close to Reece's current setup. I really love this tuning, it makes the most sense for me. _________________ Christopher Woitach

Excellent job, Christopher! Two questions: What is the name of this number and what is your tuning? I, too, play a Bb6 tuning and wondered about the differences... |

The name of tune is just November DC, as near as I know. It was written by the pianist, Clay Giberson, specifically for this recording.
My tuning, low to high, is C Eb G Bb D F G Bb D F G C
Ped 1 and 2 are AB
Ped 3 makes an F/Eb (11th string lowest)
Ped 4,5,6 are pretty stock C6
Ped 7 is basically a B pedal
Ped 8 is almost stock, a 3rd on the 12th string instead of a root
LKL is 5th lower 1/2
Lkv lowers the G's 1/2 step
LKR lowers 7 1/2 or whole step
RKL raises 8 and 4 1/2 step
Rkr lowers 4 a whole step _________________ Christopher Woitach

A very well-deserved bump here - wow! It appears that the writer wasn't going to babysit you with some nice safe "pads" and "fills", huh? Imagine that - having to play what's written! |
