I just bought a Carvin Pedal Steel with case circa 1967 Model #41 cable driven 8 string pedal steel (4 pedals).
I want to get it professionally set up and cleaned up. Can any one recommend a qualified pedal steel repair person in the San Francisco / San Jose Area.
I went to a guitar guy and he balked at the job, thinking he wouldn't be able to do it.
Thanks for any referral you can give me. |

I don't know about the Bay Area, but Jim Palenscar in Oceanside does amazing work on ANY steel guitar you send him. He takes care of everybody in LA & Southward and is very popular. Go here: http://www.steelguitars.me/
If you can't find anyone in the Bay it'd be very wise to send it to Jim.

There is a steel mechanic in Sacramento now. I forget his name but he's on the forum. You can do a search. _________________ Dave Zirbel-

Tom Bradshaw in Concord. Great mechanic, player, educator, and a member of the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame. He is a forum member, or go to this link:
