Well, I did it. I found a nice old Supro from circa 1949 and I love it. Just one teeny tiny problem... The cloth covered case smells like cat pee something fierce.

Any suggestions to clear without harming the case?

This subject is literally bringing tears to my eyes... Alien

I've used bleach and ozone... but not against cat pee.

Sprinkle the case liberally with baking soda and let it sit for a day then Gently vaccume the case without pulling the fabric from the glue. Reverse the hose and blow out any remaining soda. Leave it open in the sunlight and repeat if nessary.

Great ideas. I shall try baking soda, a vacuum and airing it outside.

A combination/layered approach of vinegar, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and dish washing soap have given good results.

Some of the black lining in the case is a little loose. Any recommendations on glue to use to glue lining back to sides of case?

I've used Titebond Original for gluing lining back to case. Since it's water soluble, it can be cleaned off the fuzz if you slop a little. Scrape any old glue off as best you can. It may require light clamping or weighting to get a good bond.

I've had very good luck with Zorbex, from Lowe's. It has no odor itself, but is the best commercial product I've found so far.
