I'm working on an old Fender pedal steel where the tuning keys are mounted in a sheet metal pan-like thing that sets into an aluminum casting. The sheet metal pan is chrome plated. I haven't cleaned it up real good yet but it looks like some of the plating may not be as pretty as it once was.
Anybody have any experience having things like this replated?

Any motorcycle shop can steer you to a good chrome plater. The prep and plating will likely set you back somewhere between $50 and $100. It's hand work with dangerous chemicals, so don't expect it anymore at a bargain price. Neutral
