While being a true fan of Marty's guitar playing (most likely one of the most proficient 'B Bender' players in the business), I found his constant use of the bender while backing Roger McGuinn on the Byrds 'Turn, Turn,Turn' somewhat disconcerting, almost to the point of being annoying. JMO, anyone else? |

I very much enjoy every part of the Marty Stewart show, of course my real reason for watching is Gary Carter. What a great and tasteful player! Marty is also an amazing musician. Ole' Leroy is quite entertaining.

Considering that particular episode was largely a Byrds tribute, Marty channeling Clarence White to the max seemed appropriate to me. Not to start an argument, but that was the closest I'd heard Marty play that guitar like its' original owner. It sounded like an old Byrds bootleg, only cleaner. Bravo! |

Yeah, I loved it too. Roger, Marty, Paul, Harry and Kenny did a GREAT job recreating the classic Byrds sound of the late '60s.
Truly Superlative!

I loved it too.
It is his show.
Kind of like the Willie sharing the stage with the greatest musicians, performers, and stars you can imagine.
Willie takes ALL of the solos. |
