I saw this performance last night, but it's worth another look before it's gone. This gal gets it done. One of my faves for sure.
Check it out There's Dennis Crouch on bass and Stuart Duncan on the Grrretsch. What a gig.
Yowsa, this album is worth the price for the cover art alone I'm sure the rest of the music is fabulous as well.
BTW, is that Sid doing the guitar solos on the Jag? Enjoy.
[Edit: Ok, now I see it's Marc Ribot on the Fender. Sort of looked like Sid with that white hair]
Steve Hitsman gave us a heads up on this album a couple months ago here on this thread: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=234232&highlight=diana+krall

Marc is one of my favorite musicians, and so is StuBob. I grew up the next town over from Stuart and we would go to all the same pickouts and jam sessions as kids.
I think most, if not all, of those guys that played with Diana also were on her husbands past couple of albums. _________________ http://www.oldbluesound.com/about.htm

Do we have any equivalent of her in country? Methinks maybe not ...

Yes, I think T-Bone Burnett produced this album. His productions are getting some interesting artists together. |
