some pretty slick n soulful pikin goin on there, very Benny Rogers, presuming its George de Fretas can anyone confirm that ? damn tricky tune, ticking the strings, almost as mad as 12th st rag ! don't think I could ever mange that, beyond a lifetimes work !! |

I'm a great fan of Benny, but I cannot say the George de Fretes style is all that reminiscent to me. Although George is playing electric, his style reminds me more of Sol K. Yes thats the first thing I tough when listening the track that the steel is played like a tricone! but it swing a lot. I have to listen more hawaiian swing! |
