I have a tubefex that is not working and I have been told by a
technician that the processor needs replacing.
Can you still buy a processor to suite a tubefex? |

Have you called Peavey? I just had some work done on my Tubefex by them, although it wasn't the processor. |

| Parts are limited for these units (TubeFex and companion TransTube Fex). You may have to find another non-working unit (for some other reason) and try to salvage parts from it. |

| Not to belabor the obvious, but I had a Tubefex with similar problems. Replaced the fuses in the processor(had to get those from Peavey) Problem resolved. |

Mine still has the green screen when turned on
but just got nothing on it. It clicks when turned on
Like it has always done and some of the red lights
come on around the dials but nothing else works? |

Just some thoughts:
There are two processors in there, a CPU and the other one for the effects creation (DSP).
If you attempt to reset and it will not show that in the LCD screen they try cleaning the down and right cursor contacts with conatct cleaner and try again, often they are dirty and will not allow the reset to happen.
Even a dead memory battery will not prevent a reset, just makes it lose memory and scramble the unit on power off, requiring a reset on every power up.
If there has been battery leakage then you may have other issues at hand to repair, not necessarily the CPU (central Proceesing Unit) or the DSP (digital signal processor) |

When I bought it from a forum member in Bowling Green ,
I was told that it had a micro chip and not a battery??
Obviously I need to run it with a step down transformer from our
240v to your 110v but it was working fine and had all the Newman settings.
I will try to contact cleaner Ken and see what that does .
