The following is the list of songs and keys. Subject to change. We have stock 3 chord songs, fast and med and slow, shuffles and swing and rock, songs with bridges, something for everyone. Be there, Bob and Ray will miss you if you are not, and you do not want to make them mad. Hee Hee

Kansas city C
6 days A
Cheating heart C
Deep water D
A way to survive C
Together again D
Working man blues A
Swinging doors E
Crying my heart out over you E
Highway 40 blues E
Steel Guitar rag E
Truck Driving Man G

I would entertain other ideas but Crazy and Tie a yellow ribbon, Girl from Iponeeeema type cord filled songs are jam busters and will not be included

Okay, 3 chords it is. I will be there and do my best to represent Central Oregon. We need more steel players over here!

Kurt, are you guys in a position to search out or start a learning program so you can start new people into playing steel guitar? We have a great Jump Start Program here in Iowa and have several every year that want to learn. It's a great thing but it also takes alot of work on your part also. That is a great way to up the list of players, and get new players started. If you want more info, contact me and I'll tell you more of what we do here. Now a player in the Portland area, Josh, has set in on our presentation in St. Louis and is aware of our program and knows what you need to have to succeed in this venture. Drop me a email at Guitarman@cfu.net, and I'll tell you more.

Thanks Larry and Lynn. I'm going to gin up some courage and bring my D10 non pedal to the jam. I've really enjoyed the past jams as a spectator, some really great players show up. I recently got a used Williams D10 so I'm interested in learning how to mash pedals correctly too.

GP at 3-4 songs per hour plus a break these will fill up a good 3 hours. With a million more songs to choose from in the naked city I am sure we can fill in others if the "fire to play" is still there.

We often have twenty or more players on the floor at one time, Gary, and in years past we started and ended each song with a free-for-all pass all together, but lately in the interests of time and the mental welfare of the backing band we pretty much start with one person and take turns around the circle and move on to the next song.

It's a courteous group to say the least, which greatly contributes to the fellowship and accessibility for players of all stripes and abilities.

Very Happy We tried something like that but we found out it was very confusing with a bunch of players . We found that if you have three players on a set it works much better ! We would see how many players showed up and then divide them up . When you have lots of players on a set you get real tired of hearing the same song played over and over ,so we stopped doing that . It's not bad with two or three players on the same set . I would tell them try to play the song with different string combinations . Like Together Again ,we know it was made famous with basically the 3/5 string combination . You can still play that song with different string combinations and not hurt the song . Just a thought . Have a great jam and have a safe and happy holiday season . G.P.

We set everybody up in a circle and take turns in order, since everybody plays things differently we don't get tired of the repetition. Can't speak for the drummer or bass player though...

Dave is right. Everybody has a great time, and it's always interesting to listen to everybody else' approach the same tune.

If you do get bored, another beer or two will always make things fascinating again.
