I know there was a thread about Letritia a while back. This is from a blog by guitarist Deke Dickerson about the lady who predated Alvino Rey as far as inventing the console steel guitar. A fascinating read.

and she's pretty, too!
neat article.
there was a big article in the last year about letricia in vintage guitar.

it's a shame that we all play without the jukebox light show now!

What a marvellous story! I'd never heard of her, yet it seems to me that she has a special place in the history of steel guitar.

It's good to know that she lived long enough to see herself acknowledged in the public domain so many years after she left the music business.

I was delighted to read Letritia's story here when it came out,and again now.Heartwarming to think that her contribution was recognized in time for the steel guitar community to thank her for all she'd done. Very Happy Very Happy

I would love to hear her play. It would be great fun if some of her music could be posted on the Forum.

There are some links in an earlier post, here:

However, these links appear to be broken now. Perhaps someone on the forum added these to their collection?

If someone does have copies of these recordings, let me know and I can provide a new home for them to be publicly available.
