Hey guys.

I just wrote and recorded a new song. I wanted to share it with my fellow steel players. you can check it out here. I'd love to hear what you guys think.

I also Got a new piece of gear that i like a lot. It's a palmer pdi-03 speaker simulator. You can come out of an amp head or a combo into the palmer DI and straight into pro tools. That way I can keep the noise down and not worry about mixing an amp. To me it still feels like playing my amp. I used the palmer for the new tune, so you can check out the results.
It's cuts off a little bit of high end, so if i'm trying to play country I usually have to dial in a little more treble than usual. but for this tune I kind of liked how it rounded out the tone.

this is a 70's emmons, into a 1965 twin, into the palmer.

Thanks Bob and Jim!

Jim, I can't believed how much better my push pull is playing after I took it down to your shop a few weeks ago. It's much easier to control the speed of the bends and I can actually feel where the C pedal is without looking down! I guess it's about time i start to learn how to use good old pedal number 3.
