About a year and a half ago I bought a piece of obsidian that had been polished in a 7 inch by 1 3/32" bar that had been rounded off on both ends. I finally got someone at the local gem show to saw it off the same length as my bullet bar. Has anyone ever used an obsidian bar before.\? It is very light and very smooth. I like the way it feels but it may be too light. Any feedback will be appreciated.

No, I've never tried obsidian, but I do have a (somewhat smaller) glass bar, and glass is quite similar to obsidian. Due to the low mass, the sustain isn't quite as good as metal bars, and it will also chip and break pretty easily if I were to drop it, so it's not one I carry around with me on most gigs.
