Absolutely. Seconded.
Dekleys are devalued a tad relative to other guitars due to their impressive mass. Good playing, well built. Grab it _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

If "Very Good Condition" means just that, I'd call it a good deal. |

I may just get the Steel (if I get anything). Yeah, I might look around for an amp later. _________________ www.LessonsWithTroy.com - Dobro, Weissenborn, C6 and Open D Lap Steel, & Beginner E9 Pedal Steel Lessons by Troy Brenningmeyer |

My Dekley D-10 sounds fabulous. I work out on it every day. Just don't try to move it too often, it's a heavy thing.
The manual for this and other Dekleys can be found on the net... too....
They are easy to work on and modify if you want to change the copedant. I always suggest replacing the No. 6 socket head set screws in the bellcranks with #6 socket head cap screws (stainless) if you get to diggin' around. _________________ Lawyers are done: Emmons SD-10, 3 Dekleys including a D10, NV400, and lots of effects units to cover my clams... |

I think it is a good price but less is better. :)But remember the ad says it is blue not the natural pictured. Not sure why he didn't put a picture of the one he is selling? |

A Dekley is among my collection. They get my vote, and the price is quite reasonable. Very sturdy instrument, reliable, good action and tone and yes pretty heavy, but that's because they're built like a tank. Go for it ! |

Heavy is good! Heavy guitars tend to sound good, stay in tune, and they won't walk away from you on stage (and not so much back stage, either).
Steve, that looks like Bill S's old guitar....I was wondering where it went. What a cool guitar. You have great taste in instruments! |

I would beware myself, anybody that says the guitar is metalic blue but the photo is tan, hummmm!! Another thing, anybody that can throw a Session 500, I'm not messing with, LOL . _________________ Henry Matthews

Sure looks like a Slimline to me. $1400 is a good price IF it's in good playable condition.
If you aren't very familiar with judging a steel's condition, take a knowledgeable player with you to do the evaluation for you.
Though Dekley's are heavy, they play, and sound, very good, and last for many, many, years. I've owned 2, one of which I still have, and will never sell. _________________ Best regards,

The guitar in the ad is not a SlimLine. (Note the extra space between the tuning keys and the nut in the peghead.)
My guess is that the seller "borrowed" a photo of another guitar. There's no way a blue guitar would show as natural in a picture. I'd sure want to see and play the real guitar before making a deal. _________________ Jim Smith
