I have been seeing some rack components at a pawn shop that I frequent. I was wondering if any of you fine players could give me any advice on what to be on the lookout for to build a rack system. I try to play old country and gospel. Not much good at any of it. I would like to have some kind of a tube amp in it and a strobo rack tuner. Are there better rack tuners? Thanks Jr. Watts

Hi, Jr. There are a number of great rack systems and components available that work great for steel, but as for what you might find in a Pawn shop, I'd keep an eye out for Peavey ProFexII, TransTubeFex, or TubeFex preamps, Stewart or Mosvalve power amps, and if you find a stroborack tuner, snap it up. (That would be my recommendation for a rack tuner for sure).
If you can't find what you're looking for, I have a TransTubeFex I could sell. Best wishes with the search!
