The Doghouse bass from Kay, legendary in Rock a Billy, Jazz and Bluegrass circles, This bass needs nothing but a player to appreciate her . You will not wrestle this bass as it is a smooth player, action is set up more for jazz presently but with the adjustable bridge , pop it up for bluegrass or lower it for Rock. Prefer a local sale and pickup.1944 era model, no idea which model yet. It does have the "rosette" that are glued on the scroll indicating an older model (desirable model) from the Kay website."There is also a scroll found on the older basses that is partially carved. The bass of the scroll is carved into the headstock and then there is a glued on portion which is about 1/3 of the rose. There will be more info in this spot when research is finished."...as well as the original polepiece that extends from the bottom to adjust the bass for players preferred height. If you have been in the market then look no further . 3000.00 for members.Pickup deal only... _________________ Greg's Guitars at http://www.gregsguitars.net or
