Hello All;
The time has come for me to start thinning out some of my gear..I have a lot to get thru but this one is going to be 1st.

This is a 2001 Martin D-18GE. It is a Martin acoustic
guitar modeled after the 1934 D-18 Martin.
Here are the specs from Martin on the guitar :

Modeled after the 1934 D-18,
select mahogany back & sides (with cloth reinforcement strips),
Adirondack (red) spruce top,
scalloped braces (with forward shifted X),
ebony fretboard & bridge,
abalone dot inlays,
modified V-shaped neck (1-3/4" nut,
2-5/16" string spacing at bridge),
tapered squared peghead with Brazilian rosewood overlay & old decal,
Waverly nickel open-gear tuners,
black binding with BWBWB inlay,
dark tortoise pickguard & endpiece,
fossil ivory nut & long saddle,
black bridgepins, aging toner.
C F Martin IV's signature on label & underside of top. With Geib style hardshell case.

This guitar has been modified by a well know luithier
with the following mods to improve the tone even more

It has had the full Kimsey treatment.
Here's the work that was done by Kimsey:
Nut: fossil ivory
Black water buffalo bridge pins with abalone dots (slotless pins)
Shave back braces to pre-90s
Remove popsicle brace
Remove and reglue bridge
Plug and redrill tuner holes
Proulx pickguard, dark

Includes original Martin Geib style hard case with green crushed velvet interior and Martin badge.

Guitar and case are both in excellent condition. Guitar pretty much looks new. Only a few very small dings.
Amazing sound. Very open, lots of volume, excellent tone. Plays great.

Includes original paperwork and invoice from Bryan Kimsey.

The original nut and bridge pins are included.
A black strap button has been installed in the heel.

This guitar sells today ( without any mods ) for
list:$4499.00 ours $3399.00

The price of this guitar shipped/paypaled to you is $2450.00
******** I have decided to drop the price
The price of this guitar shipped/paypaled to you is $2450.00 Make it now $2375.00 shipped in the lower 48 & I will eat the PayPal fees ... Thanks .. Ron****************************

You can PM me or email me - please remember I still work full time & I will get back to you soon as I possibly can. If you want to speak on the phone PM or email me & I will give you a phone number.
Thank You for looking at this guitar.
Ron

Nice looking guitar. Bryan Kimsey is pretty well known amongst the flatpicking crowd, especially on the Martin forum and flatpick-l listserver. I've been on flatpick-l with him since around 1996.

I have received some offers but they were just a little too low to accept.

I would be willing to talk with anyone about some older
6 string guitars - must be older than 1972 for electrics or older than 1965 for acoustics.

I would be interested in older Martin's; or older
Fender Tele's or Strats ... Depending on age & condition of your trade I can add $$$'s as needed
if we can to an agreement on a price.

Let me know what you have.

You can email me to reach me faster.
Thanks .. Ron

Recently I have received a few emails asking if I would be interested in trading for a pedal steel..
I really have enough pedal steels guitars ( as I am sure most of you out there do also ! ) BUT I get
weak around them Emmons steel guitars.
If you have an Emmons that you are ready to move down the road & are looking for a real nice Martin acoustic guitar -
let me know & I will see what we can work out..

Still will sell outright for cash OR trade for that older Fender amp or Tele or Strat..

You can PM me here or email me:
music7180 at msn.com

Thanks for reading ... Ron
