The Western Swing Society of the Southwest is looking for more steel players. Larry Lange has asked me to post they are in need of more steel players. Larry lives in Wichita Falls,Texas which is about 2 1/2 hours north and west of Dallas. The Society meets 4 times a year in Wichita Falls,Texas, Oklahoma City,Oklahoma, Amarillo,Texas and Wagner,Oklahoma. The events start on Thursday and run through Saturday night. Larry asks anyone interested can call him at 940-855-8256 or email him at "langewel@aol.com". Larry is a great guy and his band plays good country and western swing.

Pedals on your steel are accepted, but don't let anyone catch you using them or you will be shunned as I was by certain Tulsa members. (Example: You're playing an Emmons tuning Shocked ).

Not quite as bad as bar crashes and boo-wahs at a luau!

Gene That sounds odd as I received more awkward looks from people when I sat behind my non pedal then any thing else. Oh well different strokes...
