I use the larger m+ms minis tubes with the bar in the bottom and the picks on top.
I have been doing this for several years now, and the picks never get crushed. Tho' I am careful not to store the tube upside down.
I have several different colored tubes, one in each of my steel guitar cases, and I know by the color what sized bar is in it.

Hi Hugh,
A friend of mine figured out the source of the Tribotone bar cases some time ago. He had seen a whole bin of the preform bottles for sale somewhere.
It is a good idea to grind a flat spot on the lip so your bar case doesn't roll off when placed on a flat surface.
The perfect case for lap-steel bar and picks.
Best,
Bob |
