I just played a gig Sunday, Sept. 30 at the American Legion in Webster, Mass. with my band the "Barnyard Buckaroos". The room features several local bands that I know. Carl,(who hires the bands), announced that "Gunsmoke" was playing Sunday, October 14th, so I assumed it was another band with the same name. When I saw their picture with the Demaio family, my jaw dropped. The Webster American Legion is a nice room where the patrons dance like a son-of-a-gun. The time is 4-8pm. I am excited. We will get 4 hours of "Gunsmoke" as I always enjoy their 45 minute set in the PSGA show in Norwalk. Come and support the band. The address is 9 Houghton Street.

Hi Manny!
You are so right about this opportunity to hear this band in our neck of the woods. When I've heard them in Norwalk at the PSGA, they play topnotch, with twin lead/steel harmonies going. They definitely are not the typical band you hear around this area and people will be in for a treat if they go see them.

Hey Manny & Tony, Scott Tyler from Gunsmoke here. Thanks for the kind words about the band and what we do. We are trying to keep Classic Country and Western Swing alive in this area and it feels great to hear that it is appreciated! Jeff DeMaio and I are big fans of that twin steel & guitar sound and really dig working out new material. Please grab some friends and come out to see us on October 14th from 4-8 at the American Legion, 9 Houghton Street, Webster, Mass.if you can. Be sure to come over and say HI too.

I plan on going to see Gunsmoke. Carl informed me that Jeff already played there once. I THINK it was a rescue gig because Bill Knight`s band was a last minute cancelation?

Hi Sam, I don`t know the answer to your question. However, if you sell your house and move for the 99th time, I am going to laugh like a son-of-a-gun.

It was a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon. They had nice vocals, twin leads, tight band and steel guitar friendly songs from a bunch of nice guys that Eddie Cunningham and I got to know a little more. The 4 hours went by quickly.

Manny & I went Sunday to see Gunsmoke and we really enjoyed their arrangements !! Real tight band and sounded soooo good !! All the guys dropped by our table and we had a chance to shoot the breeze and talk steel and their music !! Great bunch of guys and great music !! Go see them if they come to your area !! Eddie "C" AKA the olde "traditional country music" geezer

Hello Manny & Eddie - Hey, it was great to see you guys Sunday and talk music for a while. It's amazing how much we all have in common and how our views on "modern country music" are the same. We enjoyed the gig just as much as you guys did and would gladly talk shop again with you anytime. Hopefully we'll see you guys at the PSGA on November 11 in Norwalk,CT.
