I got this video from Troy and have watched it twice since yesterday.
For all you intermediate level players out there who can play country, Westewrn swing or any standard songs in a straight lapsteel tuning, This is a good start if you want to learn how to play the 12 bar minor blues.
Troy does a nice job of demonstrating how you can solo over the blues changes by using a five note scale in four positions on the lapsteel.
It really does help if, like me, you have always been confused by "What scale do I play over what chord." _________________ "Shoot low boys, the're ridin' Shetlands" |

Hey Terry, sorry I've been swamped with several projects. I'm going to check out your private message and see when I can put some of those up. _________________ www.LessonsWithTroy.com - Dobro, Weissenborn, C6 and Open D Lap Steel, & Beginner E9 Pedal Steel Lessons by Troy Brenningmeyer |
