Anyone out there experienced a tone that sounds almost like chimes when playing Peavy NV 112, especially above 12th fret? My amp sounds great most of the time, but I've noticed it sometimes distorts into this chimey sound. Any thoughts? |

Have you tried other amps with the same result? It could be a characteristic of the guitar and the way you are attacking the strings. _________________ Justice The Judge SD-10, 2007

Mike,
What pete says - you can also try just a little more bar pressure past the 12th fret and also try moving your right hand away from the pickup. That might help. Where in jersey are you? Drop me a line. _________________ Just 'cause I look stupid, don't mean I'm not. |

Are you muting the strings behind the bar? If not this really shows up around the 12th fret. _________________ Too much junk to list... always getting more. |

Thanks all -- I think I was not muting the strings evenly enough behind the bar. Much appreciated. |
