Well, when I sit around sometimes I get crazy ideas about steel guitars. Well, here's another one. A Psg with a built-in chromatic tuner that is mounted into the body and reads off of vibrations. I saw a Jackson guitar with something similiar one time. I think there model had a tuner of some kind mounted in the middle section of an armrest. Not sure. My thoughts is to have an armrest that is cut to leave an open area on the backneck area, lined up with the keyhead and to have a tuner mounted into the cabinet and even with the wood, as not to be sticking up but simply even. It could run off of AA batteries easily. It would need to read the note from a string vibration. This is for a S-10D. I also have an idea for a storage area under an armrest but later on that.

that gave me an idea, billy. since your arms don't rest on the center section of the pad, this would be a perfect area for an indentation that is designed to hold bar and picks...and possibly a small tuner. i'm surprised someone hasn't done this yet.
