Ok boys and girls, this is how ya do it! Any questions?

http://youtu.be/1xkwrz9ph9I

Ya know just when you think you've played something awesome, you see Tommy White do what he does in this clip and you realize he is the top and you do "Have very far to go"!!!
There isn't any better player to me than Tommy in the World!

Mike is amazing as well and plays off the chain in this clip!!

You guys notice the awesome way they both respect each other and the smile Tommy gives Mike towards the end of the clip.
That's what makes Tommy who he is and my respect for him has no equal! Love ya brother!

thx.....kenny

Having had the opportunity to meet both of these guys has been very special to me. The only thing greater than their talent is their humble personality. I have always been (and will always be) a huge Buddy Emmons fan. Both Tommy and Mike have a spot in my heart at the same level. That's as much of a complement as I could ever pay to anyone, guys!

Aw..thank you for posting that Kenny. You're too nice my friend.
I wish I'd played better . Mike sure played so tasteful and pretty, as he always has and still does.
Love hearing those classic country songs played on pedal steel by someone who still can. Wink

Thanks for posting this video. You can see why these two guys have the jobs they have and are in demand for sessions. I have met Mike at the Texas show and he is so friendly. I have heard several steel players talk abot Mike and looks like he never ages. I might add that Mikes wife is a friendly lady and can play and sing good as well. I have never met Tommy and have never heard him play at a steel show but I hope that changes soon. Tommy said he wished he had played better, many of us wish we could come close to him. I have the deepest respect for both of these men and they sure deserve credit for what they have accomplished.

Let me sya as stated above that the singer Mark Johnson did a fantastic job as well. His bass playing was solid as a rock too. Looks like talent runs deep in their family.

I just listened again. I can think of no representative of tone better than those two Show Pro steel guitars. Mike and I just plugged directly into those amps and played. I've had that particular guitar 6 years. I've tried others but, I always come back to that blue Show Pro. Just sayin'.

Yep, them Show Pro's were sounding awesome!

I was amazed when Tommy plugged straight to the amp and heard the tone that came out!

I will post "Ramblin Fever" Mike and Tommy played that will blow your mind. Mark Johnson kills it singing as well!!!
I sit down to learn it and can't stop watching it long enough to learn it!

On another note, i was attacked on YouTube by someone on all the clips i posted recently. I blocked the user and deleted the comments but it was some hurtful things said about me as a player.

One comment from the poster was "Tommy White and Mike Johnson" should be ashamed that i call them friends and that i try to play like them.
This poster said that "I'm a want a be steel player" and "Should quit playing".

Tommy Mike, you two guys are my favorite steel players and my respect for you guys has no equal.

Tommy especially, you are like a brother so i hope i have not offended you in any way by posting things i've learned you play.

Love ya brother.....kenny

Kenny my dear friend, sounds like the disgruntled poster has more angst problems in life other than steel guitar players . Don't sweat it pal. A very wise man told me once, "There's one on every horse".

REAL COUNTRY!!!

Two of the nicest guys on the circuit and certainly two of the greatest players in the world. Just got Mike's latest CD today and it is full of incredible playing. Jeff Surratt (who is playing rhythm guitar in the clip) must be real proud to have these guys in the Show Pro stable.

Sweet playing and tone from both gentlemen (Tommy wasn't even using his Webb either). Laughing

Thx so much Tommy! Ya know where my heart is with you so i would never do anything to mess up our friendship.

This poster must have set up some bogus accounts because they came back after i block them. So i block it again.

I don't think i suck bad enough to warrant this attack!

Anyways, its about Tommy White and Mike Johnson, not me!

Thx for letting me post them guys!

I meant to say thx to Jeff at Show Pro Steels for inviting me to be there that day. I wouldn't have this awesome event of Tommy and Mike playing on a video if he hadn't!

All the best to Show Pro!

I just don't understand why people have to be so cruel such s--t stirrers for no reason. You can't ask for better players and nicer guys than Mike and Tommy. I've seen your clips of you playing and your a great player yourself. Thanks for posting these videos.
