I get my best sound from the Roland Cube when I plug in my extension cab EPS-15C. Not too surprising, since the EPS speaker was designed for pedal steel. The owner's manual says to use 8 ohm speaker or less on the ext speaker jack, and the EPS is 4 ohm. But I'm wondering if it's really OK to gig with it that way? Is anyone else using the Cube with an extension cab? |

Yes it's OK... The speakers end up in series, so the lower the ohms the better. Your 15 is taking 60% of the power... even better. _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

I don't even have my 15 in a cabinet yet, just sitting on the floor. Haven't gigged it yet either, but I will. I was wondering what the hook up was. Thanks Stephen. |

If you want to use the cube as a pre for the NV1000 then yes, you can use a regular guitar cord. If you want to splice into the BW speaker then no, you can't use a regular guitar cord... you'll have to disconnect the NV1000 amp from the speaker, cut a speaker cord, and connect it to the BW (I've done this). Otherwise just plug from the headphone/recording output of the cube into the pwrAmp in of the NV1000. _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

I'm confused... are we just talking about guitar into amp? What tapping is happening? _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

Sounds to me like you're hitting the amp input too hard... the clipping is what you're calling 'tapping'.
If you've got a low-gain input on the amp I'd use that... or just always put a VP in between. _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |
