This was purchased from Shot Jackson at his workshop by a friend of mine and it's in mint condition, never used. I'm trying to help them establish value and there are no visible serial numbers. They said it was circa 1990. Anybody out there can help me? Anyone interested in it for yourself?

Gryphon in the Bay Area has a very clean 7-string Gretsch Sho-Bro listed as a 1972. It's been there awhile, I've never played it myself, but they're asking $975.

What was Thomas T’s relationship to Harold B?
I recognize the general appearance of the Gryphon instrument, but the Thomas T version is quite unique. The side containing 4 tuners is different. The placement of the sound rings is different. The Thomas T fret board has a distinctly Jerry Byrd-ish appearance, which certainly associates itself with Harold B.
Could the initials on the head stock be those of the original purchaser? It seems to me that Harold B did that for customers. |

It definitely is unique, but the fact of the matter is that none of them seem to fetch the big dough on the used market, even in excellent condition.

Bryan volunteered the the Thomas T part of the story, but I don't see anything on the guitar about anyone named Thomas.
For that matter, if you look at the letters on the headstock, the second one might be a stylized "F" or perhaps even a "J."
