I wrote this soon after I first started playing four years ago, just experimenting with what could be done with the instrument and the sounds I wanted to hear from it. I liked the sound of an upward slide, picking up an extra note on the way, then sliding back down again. Once I got the first phrase, the whole song just followed naturally from it. It was a windy day, so the lyrics became: "Peaceful winds of Hawaii, softly swaying the trees. Out my window it's snowing, and it's 16 degrees." Finally made a decent recording of it. Hope you enjoy it.
