Maybe this has been done but if so I haven't seen it. I got tired of dropping my tuning wrench. So I made this lanyard by drilling a hole in the handwheel of the wrench and running a string through it.
So far it doesn't seem to inhibit using the wrench.

Great idea - for what it's worth I use this and it works great. Tuning wrench drops into the small hole.

Also if you were using a pot pedal you would have an extra string for repairs. That is a good idea, believe I'll try it. |

Could make an attractive pair of earrings, if your boat floats that way - but the tuning process might then appear a bit... "unnatural", to those not in the know. |

I hadn't thought of doing that. But you have given me an idea. I am thinking to make up a few and hang them on our Christmas tree this holiday season. |

Larry, I got it here. http://www.qwikstix.com/OLS/
Thing works great, clamps on the leg and is extremely light.
I have mine on my left side but if you were to mount it on your right it would be pretty handy if used in combination with the lanyard Dale is using. |

Dave and Keith, thanks for the info. I use an Allen wrench on my Excels and Carl's big wrench on my ShoBuds and both will fit on it.Larry _________________ Excel steels & Peavey amps,Old Chevys & Motorcycles & Women on the Trashy Side |
