Does anybody have any info? Looks from the horizontal changer fingers that it is a Harlan Bros type mechanism? Was it a pull and release?

Looks like a Model 790 with extra jewels added. Here's a really old discussion on Rickenbacker pedal steels. Here's another.

I don't know anything about the mechanism, but here are some pictures of a Rick PSG that I snagged on line a few years ago that might be helpful. It looks like the undercarriage is covered, unfortunately.

I have the same guitar.....D8 crossover......I must have bought it around 20 years ago from ebay......I remember that b0b contacted me shortly after I bought it asking me if I would give him first choice if I ever decided to sell it....
