I have a friend who uses a Frontman 2-12 and it always sounds terrible....But
I played Telecaster through one the other day and got a pretty good sound out of it.
I have seen some of the blues guys using the Mustang amps and sounded pretty good also. _________________ MSA 12 String E9th/B6th Universal.

I doubt strongly if a Frontman could sound good anywhere outside a closet.I sometimes think about getting one or another of the TR/Vibro/Vibra sonic amps, but the chances of a Frontman coming home are as close to zero as makes no difference.Might be nice if someone COULD make a good-sounding steel amp under 10 pounds, but until someone does,I'll keep on lifting very carefully. |

To paraphrase someone's sig on another board:

I know a very good guitar player, he normally uses a twin for gigs, but he sometimes uses a Frontman 25 for small jams or rehearsals. He sounds great with either one. He plays Chet Atkins style, always uses a delay pedal with a medium amount of delay. And the 25 is surprisingly loud too. |

I normally play through a 67 Twin, Fox 4-10 or a Silverface Deluxe Reverb AND !!! I hate Frontman amps.
But I showed up for a gig and it was on a tight small stage and I didn't feel like the swap out struggle so I used it and twisted the knobs and that was it no prob.
Not that I want to swap. but...
