SOLD to John. Thank you!
Hi all -
Here is a recently completed 6 string lap steel.
The body is maple, from planks that were previously used in a school as big building blocks. I sanded them down but did not plane them, so there are a few dings, mostly on the back.
The finish is amber shellac. The fingerboard is a glossy printout under an acrylic window. Computer drawn fretlines for accuracy. 23 inch scale.
The hardware is all new hardware from GuitarFetish.com, including Wilkinson tuners and a single chrome humbucker with volume and tone control.
The strings pass through the body, and the nut is 1/8" aluminum.
It sounds great, the tone control keeps the humbucker in check for mellow sounds, then open it up to get a nice snarly blues tone.
Contact me with any questions you have. Now $140 with shipping! That's about the cost of materials.
Thanks for looking,
Iestyn

That is sweet. It should be gone quickly.
Would you consider building a double-neck? |

Hi Bill, absolutely. I'm not a production shop, so turnaround time would be on the order of a month or so, but yes, a doubleneck is definitely doable. Thanks!
