For those of you who could not attend this year's convention in Winchester, IN I have posted two videos of our guest artist, The Abrigo Ohana. Emily is 14 and her older brother is 17. The numbers are Alika and Moana Chimes. Enjoy.

That is wonderful.
I wish I were as consistent with my chimes as the young man, and I love the Hawaiian style of singing.
Thank you.

Most enjoyable.........

Thanks so much for sharing with those of us unable to attend this great event.

Are these young people? Or, young adults?

I really enjoyed the young man's rendition of Moana Chimes. Very clean and accurate playing. Great harmonics. I think we'll be hearing more from him in the future.

The Steel Player near the end played a muted style chorus. I used to get a similiar erffect using a wooden Bar. I coulldn't tell how he was doing it !

I didn't watch it, but no doubt he's merely muting the strings at the bridge slightly with his palm's edge while picking. It's typical of Feet Rogers style, and is directly where Timi's teacher Ron Kanahele learned it. You'll hear it often on Son's Of Hawaii tunes, Bobby Ingano does this effect extremely well too.

Sorry for another error. Alika is the correct spelling for the song sang by Emily.
