I was told the Pod Hd was possibly capable of shifting your open E 9th tuning down a half step ?
Has anyone heard of this ?... If so what modeling is it under and does it work well enough for PSG ?

I sometimes get this big SURPRIZE after I`m setup and tuned, that the rest of the band is tuned down a half step.... When this happens, The thoughts that always run through my head are they play loud Heavy Rock and I`m out of a job, This band was new country and I was surprised to hear that some country music bands do this also, Well it happened again...I`m doing the best I can to transpose, But become very distant with my sound level because of the loss of confidence (always trying to figure out where there at)
I have a fear that this may be happening more and more and I dont want to tune down and then have to tune back up when they put there capos back on the first fret...

I`m hoping to discover this in the POD HD
All suggestions welcomed !

Thanx .. CS

I really don't think that's possible, but you can always double check over on their WEBSITE.

If they are tuning down a half tone (to Eb open), the only thing you miss by not tuning down is the open position. Unless they have a song where you must use the open strings there is no need to tune down.

Wow , I ran across this and found the answer to my own question so I`ll share it.... In the pod modeling ,

Go to an empty slot in your model to add a component, amp, whatever device...

5 cliks clockwise on #1 knob, it will say PITCH

turn #2 knob to PITCH GLIDE (1 clik)

Turn #4 knob counter clockwise to read -1.0 (about 9 cliks counter clockwise)

If you do this correctly you can tune down the whole guitar 1 fret very quickly

The sound is great for single string picking only....chords seem to be jittery with some different effect happening
Jay give it a try and let me know what you think

Craig
