On the suggestion of my uncle, who has used one of these for 5 years, I bought a Milwaukee Hand Truck (a collapsable dolly) to cart my musical equipment around. There was one reviewer who said his broke after there days but said if it broken 6 months down the line he'd have added larger wheels. Other buyers described problems with the wheels, but I thought I'd give it a try and replace them if there were a problem. That said, 71% of the viewers were positive on this item. It collapses neatly and hold up to 150lbs. I'll let you know how mine works out. You can find them at Home Depot The link is:

Steve I have a similar model I got out here in NZ about 5 years ago ...it has never missed a beat and is great that it is totally collapsible - including the wheels fold up, so it's real easy to store in my truck. ABout the only thing I don't shift with it is my steel case cos that already has it's own wheels ... it;s the perfect tool for the job Very Happy

I got one of those as well - I've been using it all summer. Folded up it takes up almost no space. I can't remember what I paid but not a whole lot. It might not last forever, but then again a unit that will last forever probably won't be so compact or so inexpensive.

I've used one for several years, only problem i have with it is that the mechanism has become loose (or maybe worn) and it wants to fold up to quickly.

Paddy, Bob and Pete, glad these have worked out for you for the most part. Jay, are the wheels plastic or metal and rubber on your larger wheel version and how long have you been using this one:

Steve,
I have two of them as I have an complete setup 400 miles from my home. I have had them six or seven years.
The wheels are 7" dia., plastic, with thick rubber tread. I thought they were rated at 300lbs., but the add says 200. I have used them in gravel as well. I must need to air up the tires as they are only 7" dia. here. I paid $40
for this model.

My wife bought one at Sam's last week for $20.
She said it was a bargain for old folks like us to
cart some of the things we usually have to carry
when we go to shows or jams or just go for a visit.
