A few weeks ago there was that great Dick McIntyre thread, which prompted me to consult Andy Volk's most excellent book "Lap Steel Guitar" to investigate further, which hipped me to Dick's F#9 tuning, which led me to the following...

I totally dig this tuning...anything with a built-in m6 chord is aces in my book!

Never mind, I found it;

E C# G# E A F# hi to low. I might be missing something. Aren't the two bottom strings an octave higher than normal?

That tuning can use the same strings as open G tuning, right?

2. C# > B
3. G# > G
4. E > D
5. A# > B
