I know about the mod kits for many of the Peavey series amps, but do they make one for the Session 400 LTD (wedge model)??? If so who has them?

Thanks!!
Jim

Not LTD.
Limited. Session 400 Limited.
I think Ken Fox might have that.
30 lashes to the folks who gave two amps such confusingly similar names

Roger, that's not the right amp.
He said he has a wedge. That means the 400 limited, the 1990 or so amp.
30 more lashes for the folks who named that amp.

I had a limited and a Vegas at the same time in the late 80s, from what I remember I could never get a good tone from the limited, traded it for a Nashville 400

All these lashes hurt! Actually Lane is right it is a Session 400 Limited.
Not bad sounding - but I'd like to get it completely dialed in if I can. And maybe carve off 30 pounds. Lane - hows the Hernia 500 doin?

Same amp but in a wedge styled cab. The Peavey mod kit is the same for both as well.

the lashes aren't for you. They are for whoever decided to name the 400 limited that name.
it is still doing great! After the Evans, it is the best sounding amp

Evidently, there are some of the Session 400 Limited's that sound great. Ken Williams, a forum member and a great steel guitar player, played through a limited at a Chillie cook-off here locally a few years ago, and his tone was one of the best I've ever heard. I've never owned one, and have heard the Session 400 Limiteds just don't have the tone the Session 400 and Session LTD has. I've owned both of those amps, and both are great sounding amps.

Yes, the Session 400 Limiteds are a little raspy, but with some safe crackers's fingers on the EQ, you can coax a pretty good sound out of them. I was stuck with one at a theater show, but before the season was over, I learned to really like it.

Yeah, it definitely has to be EQ'd a lot different than my Nash 400 & Stereo Steel but I like to sound in some ways. But it'd be nice to get it set up to it's best performance potential. I will try to contact Ken Fox.
