Can a daisy chain be used to connect 2 A/C devices? For example a Pod and Art preamp, which both use 9 volts A/C.

Are you daisy-chaining the power connections as well as the signals? Since AC is transformer-isolated there should be no problems unless you use the same AC for both boxes.

No problem as long as the power supply is capable of maintaining the required current for all devices being powered thusly. Add up the amperage of all the devices and it should be less than the max output of the PSU.

There can be issues of noise that's worse than when the pedals have separate power. And the more gain stages you're into, of course, the worse it can get. You're not going to hurt anything; you may need some adapters and polarity reversors (sp.?).

I run stuff like that all the time at home, but if I'm going in blind to play somewhere, I have several fresh 9-volt batteries with me just in case. Micky-Mouse bar wiring is the worst enemy, but most cheap transformer power supplies kick out a lot of noise themselves, so try to keep them as far as possible from the devices they're powering! Laughing Batteries can quick-fix that pre-gig impending-doomish "my equipment is try to GET me" brain loop.

Thanks, David, but I'm talking AC power, not DC. Doesn't matter anyway, the daisy chain plugs don't fit in the Pod, so I'm just going to use 2.
