To get a Band this well organized and playing an arrangement like this takes hours of working out
"Parts". You just don't get a bunch of Musicians up on a stage and this type of Music starts poring out. This is a labor of Love with nobody trying to be the Star of the Show. It's all about the "Band".
This group is on par with many others out of Texas including IMHO, Asleep at the Wheel.

Tore, you don't have to be "humble" about your music! This is "great" and as good as it gets! Thanks for sharing with us. Lonnie Portwood Jacksonville, Fl.

Thank's for the kind comments.

Billy - you are right. A lot of work both at home and rehersals with the band before it sounds right. The arrangement here is "borrowed" from Asleep at the wheel. We had to go to Sweeden to find the twin fiddles.

Folks, this is upper-shelf Norwegian Country Swing. I have to pinch myself to believe that these are a bunch of Norwegian people who are performing authentic Western Swing right down to perfect pronunciation, twin fiddles and last but not least expert pedal steel.
I have had the pleasure of meeting Tore Blestrud on several occasions and have heard and seen him up close and can vouch for the fact that he is a serious student of our beloved instrument and plays it alongside the best in the world. Makes me proud for sure!

Tore, I knew you were a very able E9th player but the big surprise here was that you are equally proficient on the C6th neck as well - something I hadn't realized before.
Keep up the good work. Hopefully I will have a chance to meet and hear you at Buckley's next time I come to Norway.

That is way cool!!

Congratulations, Tore, for such a tight band. Yes, it is arranged, but I can still feel that you all had a lot of fun on stage. Smile

Kind Regards, Walter

I saw their show this summer in Breim,it was really great.I know how hard it is to put together a band like this here in Norway, not too many good pickers to chose among,so this was very good!
